This year's Junior Indaba turned out to be a massive success!
We were encouraged by the positive feedback we received from so many people saying it was one of the best indabas they have ever attended. Everyone loved the atmosphere, informality, venue and raved about the content. So all in all it appears to have been a resounding success. Thank you for the contribution each of you made to this.

We were honoured this year to welcome H.E. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, whose insights and knowledge of Africa set the scene for the importance of our resource sectors and the need for a win-win situation for all stakeholders. We were also delighted to welcome Deputy Minister Mr Godfrey Oliphant who highlighted the timely and critical need to focus on junior mining for the sake of the future of the mining industry.

This year’s highlights included some of the industry’s true legends who, together with all speakers, shared their insights and diverse experiences, entering into the spirit of the occasion and creating an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere.

Peter Major excelled in his candid and astute observations of company presentations from an investor’s perspective, subjecting speakers to a cross examination which they took in good spirit and great humour.

A first for us this year was a live technology link up with Toronto on crowdfunding which not only went according to plan but was also a riveting presentation keeping everyone on the edge of their seats right until the end.

Bernard Swanepoel of course did a superb job as Chairman infusing the event with his wit, good humour and insightful commentary. If I’d had the courage to grab the microphone from him, I would have said so publicly!
